Brief Introduction
NTC thermistor sensor 8kohm 140mm is composed of NTC element, epoxy and wire.
The term ''Thermistor'' is derived from the description, ''Thermally Sensitive Resistor''. NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors are devices that display a decrease in resistance with an increase in temperature. The ceramic semiconductors and consist mostly of oxidized metal. During the manufacturing process this metal is high temperatures. Thermistors characteristics, resistance values and form factors are determined by the product process and the sensor dimensions. NTC thermistors are commonly used as temperature sensors for a wide of applications requiring temperature measurement and temperature compensation.
Jingpu's thermistors are fully compliant with RoHS Directive2011/65/EU.

• Each shipment shall contain 5 thermistors (marked) which is calibrated against following temperatures:
• R at 25ºC: 8KΩ±4.0%
• R at 40ºC:4.285KΩ±4.0%

Power handling
Thermistor must withstand power handling to following characteristics;
8K: 16V continously with serial resistance of 5kohm series resistor within temp -40ºC to +100.
Survive a voltage of 30V for 15s with a serial resistance of 5kohm series resistor in temperature range of -40ºC to +100ºC.
