Mounting:
Electrode must not be scratched before/during/after the mounting process;
Contacts and housing used for assembly with thermistor have to be clean before mounting. Es-pecially grease or oil must be removed.
When the thermistor is mounted, there must not be any foreign body bettween the electrode of the thermistor and the clamping contact.
The minimum force and pressure of the clamping contacts pressing against the NTC must be 10N and 50KPA.
respectively. In case the assembly is exposed to mechanical shock and vibration this force should be higher in order to avoid movement o the NTC during operation.
Question:
Can these thermistors be immersed in liquid?
Well the leads are bare, as pictured, so an electrically conductive liquid will short them unless you insulate them after soldering, it has no moving parts, so like all solid state electronics they can be immersed in non-electrically conductive liquids.
